EXTENSION OF CONCESSIONARY TRAVEL FOR CONFIRMED PRE-U ONE (1) STUDENTS
This circular is to inform schools that students graduating from Secondary Schools and continuing their studies in JCs/ CI will need to extend their travel concession validity.
Extension of Travel Concession at TransitLink (TL) for Students admitted into JCs/ CI through JAE or DSA
Students who are admitted to the JCs/ CI through JAE or DSA are required to extend their travel concession validity. They can present their School Smart Cards (SSCs) at TransitLink (TL) Ticket Office (TO), Concession Card Replacement Office (CCRO), Passenger Service Centre (PSC), Top-Up Kiosk or the Transit Link Kiosk from 2 February 2023 till 19 February 2023.
The above arrangement is also applicable to students whose SSCs are linked to GIRO or Auto Credit Card.
Students are advised to check and ensure the concession expiry date is correct when presenting the card for extension. They can contact TL at 1800-2255 663 should they encounter any problem extending their concession validity.
Extension of Travel Concession for Students Admitted into the JCs/ CI outside JAE
For cases (i.e., appeal students) where admission into the JCs/ CI are processed outside the JAE, the students concerned would have to apply for the concession extension by completing the attached application form, Appendix E and have it duly endorsed by the JCs/ CI since their records are not available in the JAE Posting System.
The students are to provide the following information in the form:
Name of Student
Name of JC/CI
NRIC/FIN No
School Smart Card No (found on the physical card)
Student’s Contact No
The completed form should be submitted to the JCs/ CI for transmission to TL. JCs/ CI can either fax the endorsed application form to TL at 6222 0220 or mail it to TL at the following address:

After 5 working days from TL’s receipt of the application form, students can proceed to present his/her card at TL TO, CCRO, PSC, Top-Up Kiosk or Transit Link Kiosk for the extension of concession validity.
Students should call TL hotline if they encounter problem on the extension of concession validity or for further clarification on matters pertaining to the result of the application/validation of the SSCs:

Claim for Reimbursement
For students who have been travelling on adult fare from 2 February 2023, they can file a claim for the difference in fare from TL at the TL TO, by calling TL hotline 1800-2255 663 or via TL website at www.transitlink.com.sg. The claim can be filed only after they have activated the extension and must be made by 19 February 2023.
To assist JCs/ CI in disseminating the information to the students, TL has prepared a notice to all PRE-U ONE(1) students to extend their concession validity. JCs/ CI can consider putting up the notice at prominent locations, e.g., school canteen, school hall or outside general office, where it can be easily viewed by the students or sending the poster to parents via Parents Gateway for their information.
